Here are some house cleaning tips which should hopefully get you cleaning quicker while maintaining a high standard. 

I'm a former house cleaning business owner who employed cleaners to do the work and I have been giving house cleaning advice for a long time now so I hope you find these useful! 

You should really be organized from the beginning and by having a house cleaning checklist will help you with each individual customers' requirements.

I know many cleaners use the cleaning products of their customers, but you really should buy and use the best products in order to do different jobs to the highest standards.

You need the rights cleaning products and equipment in order to do your job properly.

These house cleaning tips will help you portray a professional image for your cleaning service.

• Wear clean, tidy uniform at all times
• Be polite at all times
• Don’t forget to empty bins
• Switch off all lights and close all doors when finished
• Polish light switches
• Look for the ‘Cleaning Checklist’ list from customer. If no list ask
• customer what requires cleaning. If customer not there and not left list, use the priority method (living rooms, kitchen, bathrooms)
• Offer a key-holding service
• Provide references and policy check documentation

For that ‘extra special touch’ do the following ‘finishing touches’:

• Fluffing and rearranging cushions
• Organise shampoo bottles – labels facing frontwards
• Fruit bowl – rearrange
• Fold face flannels 
• Fold or roll towels
• Sweep doorstep
• Clean front door
• Clean door handles
• Clean light switches
• Move furniture slightly (this shows you have moved furniture to vacuum)
• Tidy papers/magazines etc
• Push dining/kitchen chairs under table
