I know this from first hand experience as this was my number one top producing form of advertising for my own house cleaning business.

The reason why house cleaning flyers are so successful to get you customers is that they are a form of direct marketing.  Direct advertising is where you literally put your message into the face of your customer.  They don’t have to go looking through the Yellow Pages - they have your cleaning flyers landing on their doormat.

They have no option but to look at your flyers.  Whether they take you up on your offer is another matter but the information is there for them anyway.

You should of course know who you want to target with your flyers.  There’s no point in putting flyers through the doors of people who cannot afford a house cleaner.  You need to put them through the doors of affluent areas, people who have a bit of money and are probably too busy to do their own domestic chores.
